Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29847

Al-Hussein bin Harith Abu Ammar Al-Maruzi told us, he said, Ali bin Al-Hussein bin Waqid told us, he said my father told me, he said Abdullah told me. Ibn Buraidah, he said: Abu Buraidah told me, he said: In the morning the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called Bilal and said, “O Bilal, why? You preceded me into Paradise. I never entered Paradise without hearing your rattle in front of me. Yesterday I entered Paradise and heard your rattle in front of me. So I came to a square, honorable palace of gold, and I said, “Who is this palace?” They said, “It is an Arab man.” I said, “Who is this?” I said, “I am an Arab.” The palace. They said to a man from the Quraysh. I said, “I am a Quraysh.” To whom is this palace? They said to a man from the nation of Muhammad. I said, “I am Muhammad.” To whom is this palace? To Omar ibn Al-Khattab. “So Bilal said, ‘O Messenger of God, I have never called the call to prayer without praying two rak’ahs, and no calamity has ever befallen me.’” Except that I performed ablution then and saw that God had two rak’ahs for me. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “With them.” Abu Issa said, and in the chapter On the authority of Jabir, Muadh, Anas, and Abu Hurairah that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “I saw in Paradise a palace of gold, so I said to whom? This was said to Omar Ibn Al-Khattab. Abu Issa said: This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith.
