Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #54413

Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Al-Awza’i told us, on the authority of Yahya, on the authority of Abu Salamah bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: “The one who hastens to Friday is like the Mahdi, a cow, then the one who follows him is like the Mahdi, a cow, then the one He is followed like the Mahdi by a sheep. When the Imam sits on the pulpit, the scrolls are folded, and they sit listening to the dhikr.”
