Saeed bin Ya’qub al-Talqani told us: Ayyub bin Jabir told us, on the authority of Simak bin Harb, on the authority of Jabir bin Samura, who said: I saw the seal between the shoulders of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, a red gland, like the egg of a dove.

Abu Mus’ab al-Madini told us: Yusuf ibn al-Majishun told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah, on the authority of his grandmother Rumaythah, who said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and if I wanted to kiss the seal between his shoulders from his closeness, I would do so, saying to Sa’d ibn Mu’adh on the day he died: The Throne of the Most Merciful shook for him.

Ahmad ibn Abda al-Dabbi, Ali ibn Hujr, and others told us: Isa ibn Yunus told us, on the authority of Umar ibn Abdullah, the freed slave of Ghufra, who said: Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, from the descendants of Ali ibn Abi Talib, told me: When Ali described the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and mentioned the hadith in its entirety, he would say: Between his shoulders The Seal of Prophethood, and he is the Seal of the Prophets.

Muhammad ibn Bashar told us, saying: Abu Asim told us, saying: Azrah ibn Thabit told us, saying: Ilba ibn Ahmar al-Yashkuri told me, saying: Abu Zayd Amr ibn Akhtab al-Ansari told me, saying: The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me: “O Abu Zayd, come closer to me and stroke my back.” So I stroked his back, and it fell My fingers touched the ring. I said: What is the ring? He said: A collection of hairs.

Abu Ammar al-Husayn ibn Hurayth al-Khuza’i told us: Ali ibn Husayn ibn Waqid told us: My father told me: Abdullah ibn Buraydah told me: I heard Abu Buraydah say: Salman al-Farisi came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he arrived in Medina, with a table on which were dates, and he placed it before the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “O Salman, what is this?” He replied, “It is charity for you and your companions.” He said, “Take it away, for we do not eat charity.” So he took it away. The next day he came with the same thing and placed it before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said, “What is this, O Salman?” He replied, “It is a gift for you.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his companions, “Spread out your belongings.” Then he looked at The seal was on the back of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, and he believed in it. It belonged to the Jews, and the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, bought it for such and such a sum of dirhams on the condition that he plant date palms for them, and Salman would work on them until they bore fruit. So the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, planted the date palms, except for one, which was planted by Umar. The date palm bore fruit that same year, but not one of them did. So the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: What is the matter with this palm tree? Umar said: O Messenger of God, I planted it. So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, uprooted it and replanted it, and it bore fruit that same year.

Muhammad ibn Bashar told us, saying: Bishr ibn al-Waddah told us, saying: Abu Aqil al-Dawraqi told us, on the authority of Abu Nadrah al-Awqi, who said: I asked Abu Saeed al-Khudri about the seal of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, meaning the seal of prophethood, and he said: There was a protruding piece of flesh on its back.

Ahmad ibn al-Miqdam Abu al-Ash’ath al-‘Ijli al-Basri told us: Hammad ibn Zayd informed us, on the authority of ‘Asim al-Ahwal, on the authority of ‘Abdullah ibn Sarjis, who said: I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was with some of his companions, and I circled around him like this from behind, and he knew what I wanted, so he threw the cloak off his back, and I saw the place of the seal on his shoulders. Like a crowd, there were moles around it, as if they were warts. So I went back until I met him, and I said: May God forgive you, O Messenger of God. He said: And you. The people said: Did the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ask forgiveness for you? He said: Yes, and for you. Then he recited this verse: {And ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women}
