Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah # 29/196
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، يَأْكُلُ الْقِثَّاءَ بِالرُّطَبِ.
Isma`il ibn Musa al-Fazari told us: Ibrahim ibn Sa`d told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah, who said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to eat cucumbers with dates.

Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah # 29/197
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، كَانَ يَأْكُلُ الْبِطِّيخَ بِالرُّطَبِ.
Abda ibn Abd Allah al-Khuza’i al-Basri told us: Mu’awiya ibn Hisham told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Hisham ibn Urwa, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha: that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to eat watermelon with dates.

Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah # 29/198
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدًا، أَوْ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ، قَالَ وَهْبٌ: وَكَانَ صَدِيقًا لَهُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْخِرْبِزِ وَالرُّطَبِ.
Ibrahim ibn Yaqub told us, saying: Wahb ibn Jarir told us, saying: My father told us, saying: I heard Humaid, or he said: Humaid told me. Wahb said: He was a friend of his, on the authority of Anas ibn Malik, who said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, combining khirbiz and rutab.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّمْلِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَكَلَ الْبِطِّيخَ بِالرُّطَبِ.
Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Ramli told us, saying: Abdullah ibn Yazid ibn al-Salt told us, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ishaq, on the authority of Yazid ibn Ruman, on the authority of Urwah, on the authority of Aisha: that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, ate watermelon with dates.

Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah # 29/200
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ (ح) وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوْا أَوَّلَ الثَّمَرِ جَاءُوا بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَإِذَا أَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي ثِمَارِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي مَدِينَتِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي صَاعِنَا وَفِي مُدِّنَا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَبْدُكَ وَخَلِيلُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَإِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَإِنَّهُ دَعَاكَ لِمَكَّةَ، وَإِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ لِلْمَدِينَةِ، بِمِثْلِ مَا دَعَاكَ بِهِ لِمَكَّةَ وَمِثْلِهِ مَعَهُ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَدْعُو أَصْغَرَ وَلِيدٍ يَرَاهُ، فَيُعْطِيهِ ذَلِكَ الثَّمَرَ.
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, on the authority of Malik ibn Anas (H). And Ishaq ibn Musa narrated to us, saying: Ma'n narrated to us, saying: Malik narrated to us, on the authority of Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, who said: When the people saw the first fruits, they would bring them to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took them, he would say: O Allah Bless us in our fruits, and bless us in our city, and bless us in our measure and in our weight. O God, Abraham is Your servant, Your friend and Your prophet, and I am Your servant and Your prophet, and he called upon You for Mecca, and I call upon You for Medina, with the same as he called upon You for Mecca and with the same as it with him. He said: Then he calls the youngest child he sees, and gives him that fruit.

Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah # 29/201
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ، قَالَتْ: بَعَثَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَفْرَاءَ بِقِنَاعٍ مِنْ رُطَبٍ وَعَلَيْهِ أَجْرٌ مِنْ قِثَّاءِ زُغْبٍ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُحِبُّ الْقِثَّاءَ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهِ وَعِنْدَهُ حِلْيَةٌ قَدْ قَدِمَتْ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ، فَمَلأَ يَدَهُ مِنْهَا فَأَعْطَانِيهِ.
Muhammad ibn Humayd al-Razi told us, saying: Ibrahim ibn al-Mukhtar told us, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ishaq, on the authority of Abu Ubaydah ibn Muhammad ibn Ammar ibn Yasir, on the authority of al-Rubayyi’ bint Mu’awwidh ibn Afra’, who said: Mu’adh ibn Afra’ sent me with a basket of fresh dates and on it was a reward of downy cucumbers, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, loved cucumbers. So I brought it to him, and he had an ornament that had come to him from Bahrain. He filled his hand with it and gave it to me.

Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah # 29/202
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ، قَالَتْ: أَتيتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، بِقِنَاعٍ مِنْ رُطَبٍ، وَأَجْرٍ زُغْبٍ، فَأَعْطَانِي مِلْءَ كَفِّهِ حُلِيًّا أَوْ قَالَتْ: ذَهَبًا.
Ali ibn Hujr told us, saying: Sharik told us, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, on the authority of Al-Rubayyi’ bint Mu’awwidh ibn Afra’, who said: I brought to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, a basket of fresh dates and some downy dates, and he gave me a handful of jewelry, or she said: gold.
