Hadith #26281
Hanad narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, on the authority of Harith, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, on the authority of Masruq, on the authority of Aisha, who said: Perhaps the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, took a bath to avoid ritual impurity. Then he came and warmed himself with me, so I hugged him to me but did not wash.” Abu Issa said, “This is a hadith with no impurity in its chain of transmission.” And it is The statement of more than one of the scholars among the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his followers, that if a man takes a bath, there is no harm in him warming himself with his wife. And he sleeps with her before the woman takes a bath. This is what Sufyan al-Thawri, al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq say.
