Hadith #26710
Muhammad bin Ubaid Al-Muharbi narrated to us - meaning Al-Kufi - Ali bin Hashim narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Laila, on the authority of Atiyya, and Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Omar, He said: I prayed with the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, when he was present and when he was travelling, so I prayed four rak’ahs with him in his presence, the noon prayer, and after that two rak’ahs. I prayed two rak'ahs of noon and two rak'ahs after that, and two rak'ahs of afternoon prayer, and he did not pray anything after that, and Maghrib when he was present and while traveling. Whether it is three rak'ahs that do not decrease whether at home or while traveling, which is the Witr prayer of the day, and after that two rak'ahs. Abu Issa said this. A good hadith. I heard Muhammad saying that Ibn Abi Laila narrated a hadith that is more astonishing to me than this, but I cannot narrate anything about it.
