Muhammad bin Bashar told us, Ibn Abi Adi told us, he said Humaid al-Taweel told us, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to seclude During the last ten days of Ramadan, he did not seclude himself for a year, but the next year he secluded himself for twenty. Abu Issa said. This is a hasan, authentic, and strange hadith from the hadith of Anas ibn Malik. The people of knowledge differed regarding the person in itikaf if he interrupted his itikaf before He performed it as he intended, and some people of knowledge said that if he broke his itikaf, he must make up for it. They used the hadith as evidence that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, He left his seclusion and secluded himself on the ten days of Shawwal. This is the opinion of Malik. Some of them said that if he did not have a vow of seclusion or... Something he made obligatory upon himself, and it was voluntary, so he went out, so he does not have to make it up unless he likes it out of his own choice, and it is not obligatory for him. . This is the opinion of Al-Shafi’i. Al-Shafi’i said, “Every action is for you not to enter into, but if you enter into it and then exit from it, you only have to make up for it.” Hajj and Umrah. And on the authority of Abu Hurairah.
