Ahmad bin Abdah al-Dhabi al-Basri narrated to us, Yazid bin Zurayi narrated to us, Ayoub narrated to us, Amr bin Dinar narrated to us, on the authority of Jabir bin Zaid, On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saying: “If a person in ihram cannot find a garment, let him wear trousers. If he does not find shoes, let him put on socks.” Qutaibah narrated to us, Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us, on the authority of Amr, and the like. He said, and in the chapter On the authority of Ibn Omar and Jabir, Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to some people of knowledge. They said: If not He finds The one in ihram wears the garment of trousers, and if he does not have sandals he wears the socks. This is the saying of Ahmad. Some of them said based on the hadith of Ibn Omar, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “If he does not find sandals, then he should wear socks and cut them off lower than the ankles.” This is The saying of Sufyan Al-Thawri and Al-Shafi’i, and Malik also says it.
