Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27373

Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, Ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, on the authority of Hisham al-Dastawai, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, Muhammad said, and Muadh ibn narrated to us Hisham, he said, my father told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, he said, “I went to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with barley bread and a sweet sacrifice, and I He mortgaged his armor with a Jew for twenty saa’s of food that he took to his family, and I heard him one day saying, “What a night in the family of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He gave a Sa` of dates and not a Sa` of cereal. And he had with him that day nine women. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
