قَالَ قُلْتُ لِقُتَيْبَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَكُمْ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمَأْرِبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ شُرَاحِيلَ، عَنْ سُمَىِّ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ شُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبْيَضَ بْنِ حَمَّالٍ، أَنَّهُ وَفَدَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاسْتَقْطَعَهُ الْمِلْحَ فَقَطَعَ لَهُ فَلَمَّا أَنْ وَلَّى قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمَجْلِسِ أَتَدْرِي مَا قَطَعْتَ لَهُ إِنَّمَا قَطَعْتَ لَهُ الْمَاءَ الْعِدَّ . قَالَ فَانْتَزَعَهُ مِنْهُ . قَالَ وَسَأَلَهُ عَمَّا يُحْمَى مِنَ الأَرَاكِ قَالَ
" مَا لَمْ تَنَلْهُ خِفَافُ الإِبِلِ " . فَأَقَرَّ بِهِ قُتَيْبَةُ وَقَالَ نَعَمْ .
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمَأْرِبِيُّ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ . الْمَأْرِبُ نَاحِيَةٌ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ وَائِلٍ وَأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبْيَضَ بْنِ حَمَّالٍ حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ فِي الْقَطَائِعِ يَرَوْنَ جَائِزًا أَنْ يُقْطِعَ الإِمَامُ لِمَنْ رَأَى ذَلِكَ .
He said, I said to Qutayba bin Saeed: Muhammad bin Yahya bin Qais Al-Marbi told you, my father told me, on the authority of Thumama bin Sharahil, on the authority of Sumaa bin Qays, on the authority of Shamir, on the authority of Abyad ibn Hammal, that he came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he cut off salt for him, and it was cut off for him. When he Then a man from the gathering said, “Do you know what you have given him? You have only given him the water count.” He said, so he took it from him. He said, “And he asked him what he was protecting.” From the Arak, he said, “As long as the camel’s sandals do not reach him.” Qutaibah acknowledged this and said, “Yes.” Ibn Abi Umar narrated to us, narrated to us. Muhammad bin Yahya bin Qais Al-Ma’ribi, with this chain of transmission similar to it. Al-Ma’rib is a district of Yemen. He said, and on the authority of Wa’il And Asma’ bint Abu Bakr. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Abyad bin Hammal is a strange hadith. This is acted upon according to the scholars of Friends The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and others considered it permissible for the imam to cut ties with someone who saw that.
