حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ رُمِيَ يَوْمَ الأَحْزَابِ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ فَقَطَعُوا أَكْحَلَهُ أَوْ أَبْجَلَهُ فَحَسَمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالنَّارِ فَانْتَفَخَتْ يَدُهُ فَتَرَكَهُ فَنَزَفَهُ الدَّمُ فَحَسَمَهُ أُخْرَى فَانْتَفَخَتْ يَدُهُ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تُخْرِجْ نَفْسِي حَتَّى تُقِرَّ عَيْنِي مِنْ بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ ‏.‏ فَاسْتَمْسَكَ عِرْقُهُ فَمَا قَطَرَ قَطْرَةً حَتَّى نَزَلُوا عَلَى حُكْمِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ فَحَكَمَ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ رِجَالُهُمْ وَيُسْتَحْيَى نِسَاؤُهُمْ يَسْتَعِينُ بِهِنَّ الْمُسْلِمُونَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ أَصَبْتَ حُكْمَ اللَّهِ فِيهِمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَكَانُوا أَرْبَعَمِائَةٍ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ قَتْلِهِمُ انْفَتَقَ عِرْقُهُ فَمَاتَ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَعَطِيَّةَ الْقُرَظِيِّ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏
Qutaybah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Al-Zubair, on the authority of Jabir, that he said: On the Day of the Battle of Al-Ahzab, Sa’d ibn Muadh was shot, and they cut off his ankle or He revered him, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, crushed him with fire, and his hand swelled, so he left him, and blood bled out of him, so he crushed him again, and his hand swelled. When he saw that, he said, O God, do not expel me until my eyes are comforted by the Banu Qurayzah. So he held on to his sweat, and it did not drop a drop until they descended on The ruling of Saad bin Muadh, so he sent for him and he ruled that their men should be killed and their women should be spared, and the Muslims should seek help from them. So he said. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “You have fulfilled the judgment of God over them.” They were four hundred, and when he finished killing them, his veins ruptured and he died. He said, “And in Chapter on the authority of Abu Sa`id and Atiya al-Qurazi. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
