Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27767

He told us that, Ali bin Issa Al-Baghdadi told us, Abdul Wahhab bin Ata told us, Muhammad bin Amr told us, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that Fatima came to Abu Bakr and Omar, may God be pleased with them, asking her inheritance from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. They said, “We heard the Messenger of God.” God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “I will not bequeath any inheritance.” She said, “By God, I will never speak to you again.” Then she died and she would not speak to them. Ali bin Issa said, “No.” “I will speak to you” meaning about this inheritance, “forever.” You are both truthful. This hadith was narrated in more than one way, on the authority of Abu Bakr. Al-Siddiq on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
