Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28065

Ibn Abi Omar and Saeed bin Abdul Rahman Al Makhzoumi told us, saying: Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abu Salamah, he said: Abu al-Raddad al-Laythi complained, so Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf returned to him and said, “The best and most sincere of them is as far as I know, Abu Muhammad.” So he said: Abd al-Rahman I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, “God said, ‘I am God, and I am the Most Merciful. I created the womb and divided for it from My Name, so whoever joins it “And whoever breaks it, it will be destroyed.” And on the authority of Abu Sa’id, Ibn Abi Awfa, Aamir bin Rabi’ah, and Abu Hurairah. And Jubayr bin Mutim. Abu Issa said that the hadith of Sufyan on the authority of al-Zuhri is an authentic hadith. And Ma`mar narrated this hadith on the authority of al-Zuhri on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Raddad al-Laythi, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf, and Muammar said so and so. Muhammad said, and Muammar’s hadith is wrong.
