Abd bin Humaid told us, Yazid bin Abi Hakim told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Asim Al-Ahwal, he said, I asked Anas bin Malik about Safa, And Al-Marwah. He said, “They were among the rituals of pre-Islamic times, but when Islam came, we abstained from them, so God revealed: (Indeed, Al-Safa and Al-Marwah Of the rituals of God, whoever makes the Pilgrimage to the House or performs Umrah, there is no sin on him if he circumambulates them. (He said: They are voluntary.) So whoever does good, God Thankful, All-Knowing. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
