Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29634

Qutaibah narrated to us, Rishdin bin Saad narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Hani’ al-Khawlani, on the authority of Abu Ali al-Janabi, on the authority of Fadalah bin Ubaid, he said While the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sitting, a man entered and prayed and said, “O God, forgive me and have mercy on me.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: You have hastened, O praying one. When you prayed and sat, then thank God for what He deserves and bless me and then supplicate to Him. He said, then another man prayed after that. For that, he thanked God and sent blessings upon the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to him, “O you who pray, pray and it will be answered.” He said. Abu Issa, this is a good hadith, narrated by Hayyat ibn Sharih from my father, Hani al-Khawlani, and Abu Hani, whose name is Hamid ibn Hani, and Abu Ali al-Janabi, whose name is' Umar ibn Malik.
