Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29665

We do not know him except from the hadith of Safwan bin Salih, and he is trustworthy according to the people of hadith. This hadith was narrated through more than one authority, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and we do not know - in most of his narrations. The chain of transmission is authentic. The names are mentioned except in this hadith. Adam ibn Abi Iyas narrated this hadith with a chain of transmission other than this on the authority of Abi Hurairah on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he mentioned names in it, but it has no authentic chain of transmission.
