Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29819

Ali bin Al-Hasan Al-Kufi told us, he said, Mahboub bin Mahrez Al-Qawariri told us, on the authority of Dawud bin Yazid Al-Awdi, on the authority of his father, on the authority of my father Hurairah, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “There is no one who has a hand with us but that We have repaid him, except for Abu Bakr, for he is his with us.” A hand with which God will reward him on the Day of Resurrection. No one’s wealth has ever benefited me. Abu Bakr’s wealth has never benefited me. And if I had taken a friend, I would have taken a father. A virgin friend. Indeed, your companion is the friend of God.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and strange hadith from this perspective.”
