Hadith #30010
Ibn Abi Umar told us, he said: Bishr bin al-Sari told us, on the authority of Hammad bin Salamah, on the authority of Abu al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir, he said: Ask forgiveness for me from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said the night of the camel twenty-five times. This is a hasan, authentic, and strange hadith. The meaning of his saying: The night of the camel is: It was narrated on the authority of Jabir in more than one way that he was with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a journey, so he sold his camel from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and stipulated that it should return to Medina. He says Jabir: The night I sold the camel to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he asked forgiveness for me twenty-five times. His father, Abdullah bin Amr bin Haram, was killed on the day of Uhud and left behind daughters. Jabir used to support them and spend on them, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was charitable. He is tyrannical and has mercy on him because of that. This is how it was narrated in a hadith on the authority of Jabir, something similar to this.
