Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #54073

Sa`id bin Amir informed us, on the authority of Hammam, on the authority of Amir al-Ahwal, on the authority of Makhul, on the authority of Ibn Muhayriz, on the authority of Abu Mahdhurah, that the Messenger of May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He ordered about twenty men to give the call to prayer, and he liked the voice of Ubayy Mahdhurah, so he taught him the call to prayer: God is great. God is the greatest, God is the greatest, God is the greatest, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger God, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad Messenger of God, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, hail the prayer, hail the prayer, hail the success, hail the success, God is great, God is the greatest, There is no god but Allah, and the Residence is two by two.”
