Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #54371

Abdullah bin Salih told us, Al-Layth told me, Yunus told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, Ibn Al-Musayyab told me, and Abu Salama bin Abdul Rahman, Abu Bakr bin Abdul Rahman, and Ubaid Allah bin Abdullah, that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed He said the noon or afternoon prayers, and he said the salutations in two rak’ahs, one of them. Dhu al-Shamalayn ibn Abd Amr ibn Nadlah said to him: Al-Khuza’i, who is an ally of Banu Zahra: Did you neglect or did you forget, O Messenger of God? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I have not forgotten, nor have I It falls short.” Dhu al-Shamalayn said: Some of that happened, O Messenger of God. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, approached the people and said: “Dhu is the truth.” The hands? They said: Yes, O Messenger of God, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, stood up and completed the prayer, and did not speak to me. One of them said that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prostrated two prostrations while he was sitting in that prayer. That is as we see, and God knows best. Yes, the people believed the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until he was certain.
