Hanad narrated to us, Hafs bin Ghayath narrated to us, on the authority of Dawud bin Abi Hind, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Do not clean yourselves with dung or bones, for it increases the number of jinn among your brothers.” And on the authority of Ubayy Huraira, Salman, Jabir, and Ibn Umar. Abu Issa said: This hadith was narrated by Ismail bin Ibrahim and others on the authority of Dawud bin Abi Hind, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, on the authority of Alqamah, on the authority of Abdullah, that he was with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the night of the jinn - the hadith is long - so he said Al-Sha’bi said that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Do not clean yourselves with dung or bones, for it increases the number of jinn among your brothers.” As if it were a narration. Ismail is more authentic than the narration of Hafs bin Ghayath. This hadith is based on the scholars of knowledge. And in the chapter on the authority of Jabir And Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them
