حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ، قَالَتْ دَخَلْتُ بِابْنٍ لِي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمْ يَأْكُلِ الطَّعَامَ فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَرَشَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَعَائِشَةَ وَزَيْنَبَ وَلُبَابَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ وَهِيَ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأَبِي السَّمْحِ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَأَبِي لَيْلَى وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهُوَ قَوْلُ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالتَّابِعِينَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ مِثْلِ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ قَالُوا يُنْضَحُ بَوْلُ الْغُلاَمِ وَيُغْسَلُ بَوْلُ الْجَارِيَةِ وَهَذَا مَا لَمْ يَطْعَمَا فَإِذَا طَعِمَا غُسِلاَ جَمِيعًا ‏.‏
Qutaibah and Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, they said: Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Abdullah bin Utba, On the authority of Umm Qais bint Muhsin, she said: I brought a son of mine to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he did not eat the food, so he urinated on him, so they poured water on him. So he sprinkled it on him. He said, and on the authority of Ali, Aisha, Zainab, and Lubabah bint Al-Harith, who is the mother of Al-Fadl bin Abbas bin Abd. Al-Muttalib, Abu Al-Samh, Abdullah bin Amr, Abu Laila, and Ibn Abbas. Abu Issa said, and it is the opinion of more than one of the scholars. From The Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Successors and those after them, such as Ahmad and Ishaq, said: The urine of a boy should be sprinkled and the urine of a girl should be washed, and this is Unless they are fed, then if they are fed, they should all be washed.
