Hadith #26348
Abu Bakr bin Al-Nadr bin Abi Al-Nadr told us, Hajjaj bin Muhammad told us, he said, Ibn Jurayj said, Nafi’ told us, on the authority of Ibn Umar, he said When the Muslims came to Medina, they would gather to prepare for the prayers, but no one would call them out. So one day they spoke about that. Some of them said, “They made a bell like the bell of the Christians.” And some of them said, “They made a horn like the horn of the Jews.” He said, “Umar bin Al-Khattab: Will you not send a man to call for prayer? He said, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “O Bilal, arise and call for prayer.” He said Abu Issa, this is a good, authentic, and strange hadith from the hadith of Ibn Umar.
