Yahya bin Musa told us, Shababah bin Suwar told us, Omar bin Al-Rammah Al-Balkhi told us, on the authority of Kathir bin Ziyad, on the authority of Amr bin Othman. Ibn Ya'la Ibn Murrah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, that they were with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a journey, and they came to a strait and there was Prayer, so they rained rain on the sky above them and the rain below them. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called the call to prayer while he was on his mount and he remained - or remained - So he went forward on his mount and led them in prayer, gesturing with a gesture that made prostration shorter than bowing. Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. Omar ibn al-Rammah al-Balkhi was the only one to do this. He is only known from his hadith. More than one scholar has narrated on his authority. Likewise, it was narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik said that he prayed in water and mud on his animal. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge, and Ahmad and Ishaq say so.
