Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26685

Ahmad ibn Mani` told us, Abu Muawiyah told us, on the authority of al-Hajjaj, on the authority of al-Hakam, on the authority of Miqsam, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sent Abdullah bin Rawaha was in a group. He agreed on that Friday, so his companions came in the morning, and he said, “Should I stay behind and pray with the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.” Then he joined them. When he prayed with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he saw him and said, “What prevented you from going out in the morning with your friends?” So he said, “I wanted to pray.” With you, then he joined them. He said, “If you had spent all of what is on earth, you would not have realized the benefit of their morning.” Abu Issa said. This is a strange hadith, we only know it from this perspective. Ali bin Al-Madini said, Yahya bin Saeed said, Shu’bah did not listen. The ruling is from Maqsam, except for five hadiths. He counted them as Shu’bah, but not this hadith as he counted Shu’bah, so it is as if this hadith was not heard. The ruling From a division. The people of knowledge differed regarding traveling on Friday, and some of them did not see any harm in leaving on Friday while traveling. The prayer was not attended. Some of them said, “When morning comes, he should not go out until he has prayed Friday.”
