Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27607

Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Yahya bin Sa’id, on the authority of Muhammad bin Yahya bin Hibban, on the authority of his uncle, Wasi’ bin Hibban, that Rafi’ ibn Khadij said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saying: “There is no cutting or multiplying of fruit.” Abu Issa said: This is what some of them narrated on the authority of Yahya bin Saeed, on the authority of Muhammad bin Yahya bin Hibban, on the authority of his uncle, Wasi bin Hibban, on the authority of Rafi’ bin Khadij, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, something like The narration of Al-Layth bin Sa’d. Malik bin Anas and more than one person narrated this hadith on the authority of Yahya bin Sa’id on the authority of Muhammad bin Yahya bin Hibban about Rafi’ bin Khadij on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, but they did not mention in it on the authority of Wasi’ bin Hibban.
