Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27729

Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Bukayr bin Abdullah, on the authority of Sulaiman bin Yasar, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said, “We sent the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He greeted him during a mission and said, “If you find so-and-so and so-and-so belonging to two men from Quraysh, burn them with fire.” Then the Messenger of God said: God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said when we wanted to go out, “Indeed, I commanded you to burn so-and-so and so-and-so with fire, and no one punishes with fire except God. You find them, so kill them.” He said, and on the authority of Ibn Abbas and Hamza bin Amr Al-Aslami. Abu Issa said The hadith of Abu Hurairah is a good and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge. Muhammad bin Ishaq mentioned between Sulayman bin Yassar and Abu Hurairah narrated a man in this hadith, and more than one person narrated something similar to the narration of Al-Layth, and the hadith of Al-Layth bin Saad is more similar and more authentic. Al-Bukhari and Suleiman bin Yassar said he heard it from Abu Hurairah. Muhammad said that the hadith of Hamza bin Amr on this subject is authentic.
