Hadith #28297
Muhammad ibn Humayd al-Razi and Sa`id ibn Yaqoub narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn al-Dharis narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Mawdud, on the authority of Sulayman al-Taymi, on the authority of Abu Othman Al-Nahdi, on the authority of Salman, said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Nothing can avert judgment except supplication and nothing more.” Life except righteousness.” Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Abu Usayd. This is a good, strange hadith from the hadith of Salman. We do not know it except from The hadith of Yahya bin Al-Dharais. There are two Abu Mawdud. One of them is called Fadda, and he is the one who narrated this hadith. His name is Fadda Basri. The other is Abd al-Aziz bin Abi Suleiman. One of them was Basra and the other was Medani, and they were in the same era. Abu Maudud, who narrated this hadith, is named Fadda Basra. ‏
