Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29081

He did not pray, then he prayed as much as he slept, then he slept as much as he prayed until morning, then his recitation was described, so if it was described as recitation, it was interpreted letter by letter. Abu Issa said, “This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Laith bin Saad, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaika, on the authority of Ya’la bin Mamluk, on the authority of Umm Salamah. Ibn Jurayj narrated this hadith on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaykah, on the authority of Umm Salamah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to cut Reading it, and the hadith of Laith is more authentic.
