Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29470

Abd bin Humaid told us, Ubaid Allah bin Musa told us, on the authority of Israel, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Zayd bin Arqam, he said: I was with my uncle So I heard Abdullah bin Abi Ibn Salul saying to his companions: (Do not spend on those with the Messenger of God until they disperse) and (If We returned to Medina so that they would expel from it the more powerful and the meaner.) So I mentioned that to my uncle, and my uncle mentioned that to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, so the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, called me. So I spoke to him, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent for Abdullah bin Ubayy and his companions, and they swore what they said. So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, lied to me and told the truth about him. Then something happened to me the likes of which had never happened to me. So I sat at home and my uncle said, “I only wanted him to lie to you.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he detested you, so God Almighty revealed: (When the hypocrites come to you) So he sent to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace May God bless him and grant him peace. He recited it and then said, “Indeed, God has told you the truth.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
