Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29478

Abd bin Humaid told us, Abd al-Rahman bin Saad told us, on the authority of Amr bin Abi Qais, on the authority of Samak bin Harb, on the authority of Abdullah bin Umira, on the authority of Al-Ahnaf ibn Qays, on the authority of Al-Abbas ibn Abdul-Muttalib, he said, he claimed that he was sitting in Al-Batha’ in a group while the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He was sitting among them when a cloud passed over them and they looked at it, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Do you know what this is called?” They said, “Yes.” This is the cloud. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “And Al-Muzn.” They said, “And Al-Muzun.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said. “By Al-‘Anan.” They said, “By Al-‘Anan.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to them, “Do you know how far there is between the heaven and the earth?” So they said. No, by God, we do not know. He said, “For the distance between them was either one, or two, or seventy-three years, and the sky And the one above it is like that.” Until he numbered them as seven heavens in the same way, then he said, “Above the seventh heaven is a sea between its top and its bottom.” As between heaven to heaven, and above that are eight deer, and between their hooves and their knees is between heaven to heaven, and then above. Their backs are the Throne, between its bottom and its top is what is between one heaven to another heaven, and God is above that.” Abd bin Humayd said, “I heard Yahya Ibn Ma'in says that Abd al-Rahman Ibn Sa'd does not want to perform Hajj until we hear this hadith from him. Abu Issa said: This is a good and strange hadith. Al-Walid ibn Abi Thawr narrated on the authority of Simmak something similar and narrated it as a narration. Sharik narrated on the authority of Simmak some of this hadith and he attributed it but did not He raises him, and Abdul Rahman is the son of Abdullah bin Saad Al-Razi.
