Hadith #29492
Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Ajlan, on the authority of Al-Qaqa’ bin Hakim, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “When a servant commits a sin, a black spot is struck in his heart, but when he withdraws and seeks forgiveness and repents, his heart is softened.” And if Zaid returned therein until it rose to his heart, and he was the one who mentioned to God: (No, but what they had been earning saw in their hearts).” He said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
