حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ السِّمْنَانِيُّ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْعُمَرِيُّ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" مَنْ رَأَى مُبْتَلًى فَقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي مِمَّا ابْتَلاَكَ بِهِ وَفَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلاً لَمْ يُصِبْهُ ذَلِكَ الْبَلاَءُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
Abu Ja`far al-Samnani, and others, narrated to us, alone. They said, Mutarrif bin Abdullah al-Madani narrated to us, Abdullah bin Omar al-Amri narrated to us, on the authority of Suhail bin Abi Saleh, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever sees an afflicted person and says: Praise be to God who saved me from what He afflicted me with and favored me over many of His creation. This affliction did not afflict me.” Abu Issa said. This is a good and strange hadith from this perspective.
