Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29697

Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Qais, the narrator of Omar bin Abdul Aziz, on the authority of Abu Sarmah, on the authority of Abu Ayyub, that he said when Presence of his death, I have concealed something from you that I heard from the Messenger of God. I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, “If you had not “You sin against God’s creation, a creation that sins and He forgives them.” He said, “This is a hasan ghareeb hadith.” This was narrated on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ka'b, on the authority of Abu Ayyub, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the like. Qutaibah narrated that to us. Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Rijal narrated to us, on the authority of Omar, Mawla Ghafirah, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ka’b, on the authority of Abu Ayyub, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the like.
