حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: أَرْسَلَ أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاطِمَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْ وَالنَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَعَ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا فِي مِرْطِهَا، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا فَدَخَلَتْ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ أَزْوَاجَكَ أَرْسَلْنَنِي يَسْأَلْنَكَ الْعَدْلَ فِي بِنْتِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ، قَالَ: أَيْ بُنَيَّةُ، أَتُحِبِّينَ مَا أُحِبُّ؟ قَالَتْ: بَلَى، قَالَ: فَأَحِبِّي هَذِهِ، فَقَامَتْ فَخَرَجَتْ فَحَدَّثَتْهُمْ، فَقُلْنَ: مَا أَغْنَيْتِ عَنَّا شَيْئًا فَارْجِعِي إِلَيْهِ، قَالَتْ: وَاللَّهِ لاَ أُكَلِّمُهُ فِيهَا أَبَدًا. فَأَرْسَلْنَ زَيْنَبَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ ذَلِكَ، وَوَقَعَتْ فِيَّ زَيْنَبُ تَسُبُّنِي، فَطَفِقْتُ أَنْظُرُ: هَلْ يَأْذَنُ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَلَمْ أَزَلْ حَتَّى عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَنْتَصِرَ، فَوَقَعْتُ بِزَيْنَبَ، فَلَمْ أَنْشَبْ أَنْ أَثْخَنْتُهَا غَلَبَةً، فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَمَا إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ.
Al-Hakam bin Nafi’ told us, he said: Shuaib bin Abi Hamza told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he said: Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin told me Al-Harith bin Hisham, that Aisha said: The wives of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent Fatima to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, so she asked for permission. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was with Aisha, may God be pleased with her, in her cloak. He gave her permission and she entered, and she said: Your wives have sent me to ask you. Justice regarding the daughter of Abi Quhafa. He said: “O daughter, do you like what I like?” She said: “Yes.” He said: “Then I like this one.” So she got up and went out. So she spoke to them, and they said: You have not spared us anything, so return to him. She said: By God, I will never speak to him about her. So they sent Zainab’s husband. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, so she asked for permission, so he gave her permission, so she told him that, and Zainab happened upon me cursing me, so I started to look: would he give permission?
