Suwayd bin Nasr told us, Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak told us, Al-Layth bin Saad told us, Abd Rabbuh bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Imran Ibn Abi Anas, on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Nafi’ Ibn Al-Amiya, on the authority of Rabi’ah Ibn Al-Harith, on the authority of Al-Fadl Ibn Abbas, the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said May God bless him and grant him peace. “Prayer is two by two. You recite the Tashahhud in every two rak’ahs, and you humble yourself and supplicate, and hold still and supplicate, and persuade your hands. He says, ‘Raise them to your Lord. Facing Your face with their bellies and saying, O Lord, O Lord, and whoever does not do that is such-and-such.” Abu Issa said. Someone other than Ibn al-Mubarak said in this hadith: “Whoever does not do that is premature.” Abu Issa said: I heard Muhammad ibn Ismail He says: Shu`bah narrated this hadith on the authority of Abd Rabbuh ibn Sa`id, but he made a mistake in places, so he said on the authority of Anas ibn Abi Anas, and he is Imran ibn Abu Anas He said, on the authority of Abdullah bin Al-Harith, but he is Abdullah bin Nafi’ Ibn Al-Amiya, on the authority of Rabi’ah bin Al-Harith. Shu’bah said: On the authority of Abdullah bin Al-Harith, on the authority of Al-Muttalib, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, but it is on the authority of Rabi’ah bin Al-Harith bin Abdul-Muttalib, on the authority of Al-Fadl Ibn Abbas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Muhammad said, “The hadith of Al-Layth bin Saad means more authentic than the hadith of Shu’bah.”
