Ali bin Hajar told us, Ismail bin Ulayya, he is the son of Abraham, told us, on the authority of Ali bin Al-Mubarak, on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, On the authority of Damdam bin Jus, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered the killing of the two lions in prayer, the snake and the scorpion. He said: On the authority of Ibn Abbas and Abu Rafi’ on the authority of Ibn Abbas and Abu Rafi’, Abu Issa said: The hadith of Abu Hurairah is a good and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to some People of knowledge among the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and others, and this is what Ahmad and Ishaq say. Some people of knowledge disliked killing the snake. And the scorpion in prayer. Abraham said that there is occupation in prayer. The first saying is more correct.
