Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27049

Ibn Abi Omar told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Dawud bin Abi Hind, Ismail bin Abi Khalid, and Zakaria bin Abi Zaida, on the authority of Al-Sha’abi, on the authority of Urwa bin Mudarris bin Aws bin Haritha bin Lam Al-Tai, said: I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, at Muzdalifah when he came out. To prayer, I said, O Messenger of God, I have come from my mountain Tay, completed my mount, and exhausted myself. By God, I have not left a rope but I stood over it. Is there a Hajj for me? Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Whoever witnessed this prayer of ours and stood with us until we defended him, and he stood.” At Arafat before that, day or night, he has completed his Hajj and fulfilled his prayers.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith.” He said: His saying, “Tafathah” means his fasting.
