Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27098

Ishaq bin Mansour told us, Ruh bin Ubadah told us, Hajjaj al-Sawwaf told us, Yahya bin Abi Kathir told us, on the authority of Ikrimah, He said: Al-Hajjaj bin Amr told me, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever is broken or lame has become lawful and must have another proof.” So I mentioned that to Abu Hurairah and Ibn Abbas, and they said, “It is true.” Ishaq bin Mansour told us, Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ansari told us, On the authority of Al-Hajjaj, like him. He said, “And I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say it.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good hadith. This is how it was narrated by someone else.” One on the authority of Al-Hajjaj Al-Sawwaf, similar to this hadith. Muammar and Muawiyah bin Salam narrated this hadith on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir. On the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Rafi’, on the authority of Al-Hajjaj bin Amr, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, this hadith. And Hajjaj Al-Sawwaf was not mentioned in His hadith is Abdullah bin Rafi’. Hajjaj is a trustworthy and memorizer of the people of hadith.
