Qutaibah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi’ah narrated to us, on the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Any man who has sex with If he has intercourse with a woman, then it is not permissible for him to marry her daughter. If he has not had intercourse with her, then he may marry her daughter. And any man who has intercourse with a woman Whether he has intercourse with her or not, it is not permissible for him to marry her mother.” Abu Issa said: This hadith is not authentic based on its chain of transmission, but rather It was narrated by Ibn Lahi’ah and Al-Muthanna bin Al-Sabbah on the authority of Amr bin Shuaib. Al-Muthanna bin Al-Sabbah and Ibn Lahi’ah are doubled in the hadith. This is acted upon according to most of the people of knowledge. They said: If a man marries a woman and then divorces her before consummating the sexual intercourse with her, it is permissible for him to He marries her daughter, and if the man marries the daughter and divorces her before consummating the sexual intercourse with her, it is not permissible for him to marry her mother, according to the words of God Almighty. (And the mothers of your wives) This is the saying of Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq.
