Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27803

Ishaq bin Musa Al-Ansari told us, Ma’an told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Abi Talha, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, that he heard him say: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to go to Umm Haram bint Milhan and she would feed him, and Umm Haram was under the worship of bin Al-Samit, so the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, entered upon her one day, and she fed him and sat combing his head. Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, fell asleep and then he woke up. He laughed. She said, “So I said, ‘What makes you laugh, O Messenger of God?’” He said, “People from my nation were presented to me as warriors in the cause of God, riding.” This sea was filled with kings on a family, or like kings on a family.” I said, “O Messenger of God, pray to God to make me one of them.” So he prayed for her, then he laid down his head and fell asleep, then he woke up laughing. She said, “So I said to him, ‘What makes you laugh, O Messenger of God?’ He said, ‘People from my nation. They were presented to me as invaders in the cause of God.” Like what he said at the beginning, she said, “So I said, O Messenger of God, pray to God to make me one of them.” He said “You are among the first.” He said, “Umm Haram rode the sea in the time of Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, and she was thrown off her mount when she got out.” From the sea and she perished.
