Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Saeed bin Abi Saeed Al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Qatada, on the authority of his father, that he heard him He narrates, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he stood up among them and mentioned to them that jihad in the path of God and belief in God is better. deeds, then a man stood up and said, O Messenger of God, have you considered that if I were killed in the cause of God, would my sins be expiated for me? Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Yes, if You were killed in the cause of God, and you are patient and seeking reward, advancing and not retreating. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “How? I said, “What do you think? If I were killed in the cause of God, would my sins be expiated for me?” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Yes, and you are patient and seek reward.” Coming forward, not turning away, except for debts, for Gabriel told me that.” Abu Issa said, and on the authority of Anas and Muhammad ibn Jahsh on the authority of And Abu Hurairah. This is a good and authentic hadith. Some of them narrated this hadith on the authority of Sa`id al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said something similar to this, and Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari and more than one person narrated something similar to this, on the authority of Saeed Al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Qatada. On the authority of his father, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. This is more authentic than the hadith of Sa`id al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abu Hurairah.
