Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28222

Abu Musa told us, Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna told us, Abd al-Samad bin Abdul-Warith told us, Shu’bah told us, Abu Bishr told us, he said I heard Abu Al-Mutawakkil, on the authority of Abu Sa’id, said that some of the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, passed by an Arab neighborhood and did not meet them or meet them. They would give them hospitality, but their master complained, so they came to us and said, “Do you have any medicine?” We said, “Yes, but you did not come to us and did not give us hospitality, so we will not do it until Make a burden for us. So they made a flock of sheep for that. He said, so a man from among us recited to him the opening of the book, and he was healed. When we came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, we mentioned that to him. He said, “And do you not know that it is a ruqyah?” He did not mention any prohibition thereof, but he said, “Eat.” And strike for me with an arrow.” Abu Issa said: This is an authentic hadith, and this is more authentic than the hadith of Al-A’mash on the authority of Ja’far bin Iyas. And so on More than one person narrated this hadith on the authority of Abu Bishr, Ja`far bin Abi Wahshiyah, on the authority of Abu al-Mutawakkil, on the authority of Abu Sa`id. And Ja`far bin Iyas He is Jafar bin Abi Wahshiyah.
