Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28406

Abdullah bin Muawiyah Al-Jumahi told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Ali bin Zaid, on the authority of Abdul Rahman bin Abi Bakra, on the authority of His father, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The father of the Antichrist and his mother will remain for thirty years without having a child born to them, then a child will be born to them.” “A one-eyed boy is the most harmful and has the least benefit. His eyes sleep but his heart does not sleep.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, described his parents to us and said: His father was a long-haired man, as if his nose was a beak, and his mother was a broad woman with long arms.” Then Abu Bakra said: Then we heard about a baby born among the Jews in Medina, so I and Al-Zubayr bin Al-Awwam went until we went to see his parents. Then, they mourned the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted them both, and we said, “Do you have a child?” They said, “We remained for thirty years, and no child was born to us. Then a one-eyed boy was born to us who was more damaged.” Something, the least beneficial, makes his eyes sleep but his heart does not sleep. He said, “So we left from them, and behold, he was lying in the sun in his velvet veil.” And he hummed, so he uncovered his head and said, “What you said, we said, and did you hear what we said?” He said, “Yes, my eyes sleep but my heart does not sleep.” Abu said. Jesus: This is a good and strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Hammad bin Salamah.
