Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29361

Abu Kurayb narrated to us, Yunus bin Bukayr narrated to us, on the authority of Talha bin Yahya, on the authority of Musa and Issa, the sons of Talha, on the authority of their father, Talha that Companions, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to an ignorant Bedouin, “Ask him who he was who lost his life,” but they did not dare to ask him. They revere him and fear him, so the Bedouin asked him and he turned away from it, then he asked him about it and he turned away from it, then he asked him about it and he turned away from it, then I looked from The door of the mosque, and I was wearing green clothes. When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw me, he said, “Where is the one who asks about someone whose death has passed away?” he said. I am a Bedouin, O Messenger of God. Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “This is one of those who died.” He said, “This is a good, strange hadith, not We know him only from the hadith of Yunus bin Bukayr.
