Abu Kurayb, Abd bin Humayd, and more than one person narrated to us. They said: Abu Usama informed us, on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Al-Hakam Al-Nakha’i. Abu narrated to us: Sabra Al-Nakhai, on the authority of Farwa bin Musayk Al-Muradi, who said: I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, O Messenger of God, should I not fight those who He retreated from my people with those who were ahead of them, so he gave me permission to fight them and commanded me. When I left him, he asked about me what Al-Ghutayfi had done, and he was informed. He said, “Indeed, I have gone.” He said, “So he sent after me, and he brought me back.” So I came to him while he was with a group of his companions, and he said, “Call the people, and whoever among them will be safe.” So accept from him, and whoever does not submit, do not hasten until I narrate it to you.” He said, “And what was revealed in Saba’ was revealed, and a man said, ‘O Messenger of God, and what Sheba is a land or a woman. He said, “He is neither a land nor a woman, but he is a man who begot ten Arabs, and six of them died, and he was pessimistic.” Of them there were four. As for those who were pessimistic, they were Lakham, Jadham, Ghassan, and Amilah. As for those who believed, they were Azd, the Ash’arites, and Himyar. And Madhhij, Anmar, and Kindah. Then a man said, “O Messenger of God, and what is Anmar?” He said, “Among them are Khath’am and Bajila.” And it was narrated This is on the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Issa said: This is a good and strange hadith.
