Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #54207

Musaddad told us, Yazid bin Zurayi told us, Humaid al-Tawil told us, Bakr bin Abdullah al-Muzani told us, on the authority of Hamza bin Al-Mughirah, on the authority of his father, said: “So we reached the people and they had risen to pray, with Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf leading them in prayer, and he had bowed down.” With them, when he sensed the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he went to delay, so he motioned to him with his hand, and he led the prayer with them. When he greeted him, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, stood up. He said hello, and I stood up, so we performed the rak’ah that we had previously done.” Abu Muhammad said: “I speak about making up the judgment according to the opinion of the people of Kufa: To make up the prayers he missed.
