Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #54393

Al-Hakam bin Nafi’ told us, on the authority of Shuaib, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, Salem bin Abdullah told me: that Abdullah bin Omar said: “I invaded With the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a campaign before Najd, so we fought the enemy and lined up with them, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, rose up. He greeted and prayed for us, so a group of us stood up with him, and a group approached the enemy, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, kneeled one kneel with those who were with him. He prostrated two prostrations, then they left, and they were in the place of the group that had not prayed, and the group that had not prayed came and he bowed. With them, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, performed one rak’ah and prostrated two prostrations, then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, greeted him, so every Muslim man stood up. So he bowed for himself one rak’ah and prostrated two prostrations.”
