Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26514

Why don’t I come forward?” I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, “Whoever visits a people should not lead them in prayer.” And let a man from among them lead them.” Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to most of the people of knowledge from The Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and others said, “The owner of the house is more worthy of the Imamate than the visitor.” Some of the people of knowledge said, “If he is given permission, then there is no problem.” To pray with it. Ishaq said, according to the hadith of Malik bin Al-Huwayrith, and he stressed that no one should pray with the owner of the house, even if The owner of the house gave him permission. He said, “And likewise in the mosque. He does not lead them in prayer in the mosque. If he visits them, he says, ‘Let a man from them lead in prayer with them.’” .
