Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26610

Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth bin Saad narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Habib, on the authority of Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Zufi, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abu Murrah al-Zufi, on the authority of Kharijah ibn Hudhafah, that he said the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came out to us and said, “Indeed, God has provided you with prayer.” It is better for you than red camels. The odd-numbered camel was made for you between the evening prayer until dawn comes.” He said, and in the chapter about Abu Hurairah, Abdullah bin Amr, Buraidah, and Abu Basra al-Ghifari, the companion of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Issa said hadith Kharijah bin Hudhafah is a strange hadith that we only know from the hadith of Yazid bin Abi Habib. Some of the hadith scholars have misunderstood this hadith. He said on the authority of Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Zarqi, and he was mistaken about this. And Abu Basra Al-Ghafari, his name is Humail bin Basra, and some of them said Beautiful Ibn Basra, but it is not authentic. Abu Basra al-Ghifari is another man who narrates on the authority of Abu Dharr, and he is the son of my brother Abu Dharr.
